A Luminary is a commissioned stainless-steel sculpture with a light sealed inside, made for campuses, institutions, and civic spaces. By day it stands as public art. After dark it casts your words, logo, emblem, or artwork in a circle of light across the ground.

What you're looking at
One sculpture. Two ways to see it.
The words on the ground in the video are not painted and not lit from a pole. They come from the sculpture itself. Here is how the pieces fit together.
01
The sculpture
A stainless-steel form up to 16 feet tall, its walls cut with your words, logo, emblem, or artwork. By day the cut surface reads as an abstract pattern: a work of art on its own.
02
The light inside
A 1500-watt projection light by Infinity Projectors sits sealed inside and switches on with the site lights at dusk.
03
The message on the ground
Light leaves through every cut and lands as words and emblems in a circle up to 75 feet across, readable from every side.
Not a sign. Not a projector on a pole. A permanent landmark that writes its own message.

What it is
Sculpture by day. A message by night.
By day, a Luminary is a work of art in its own right: a tall, sculptural form in stainless steel, its surface cut with an abstract pattern of letters and shapes that catches the light and draws people in for a closer look.
At dusk it changes. The light inside comes on, the steel begins to glow, and the design spreads across the ground in a full circle of words and imagery. The space around it becomes a place to gather, to read, and to remember.
A sculpture people stop to study. A world of light they walk into.

Featured commission
Ball State University
A 16-foot stainless-steel Luminary commissioned by the Ball State Foundation and first lit for Ball State's 100th Homecoming. By day it carries the cardinal. At night it writes the fight song and the Ball State name in a circle of light around itself.

Plainfield's Core Values Lantern stands behind the town's government building on Main Street. Truth, Justice, Dignity, Honesty, Kindness, Integrity, and six more values are cut through powder-coated black stainless steel, and every night they are written across the lawn for everyone who walks by.
Every Luminary brings together design, metalwork, and light. Each has to be right for the words to read clearly on the ground.
Design
Your values, names, mascot, or crest, drawn and corrected so every letter lands sharp on the ground, not stretched by the curve of the steel.
Steel
7-gauge, 316-grade stainless steel, precision-cut and given a satin finish that can be restored on site.
Light
A 1500-watt projection light by Infinity Projectors, sealed inside, casts the design 360° onto the ground.
